Meditating solo allows for a highly concentrated meditation experience. Below, we distinguish between open and closed retreats.
In an open retreat, in between your meditation sessions, you may share the “center life” and work or eat with others. You may also participate in their meditation sessions or listen to teachings.
During a closed retreat, you do not leave your room or speak to others (except the person you have specifically chosen for personal guidance in case advice is needed). You should normally only decide for a closed retreat after several years of experience in Diamondway meditation.
Precondition for retreats in our center is the Buddhist Refuge and regular, longterm visits of one of our Diamondway Buddhism centers
